Q: They missed my trash.  What should I do?
A: Before picking up the telephone, try to answer the following questions:
Was the trash out by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day?
Was the trash placed in bags or trash cans?
Did each container weigh less than 40 pounds?
Is your account up to date?
Is collection following a regular schedule this week? (no holiday delays)         Was the container free of leaves and grass clippings?

If you answered YES to all of the above questions, then it is possible that the driver may have made a mistake.  The next step is to call VEOLIA Environmental Services at (814) 237-3713 by 12:00 noon the next day to report the missed stop.  A driver will return to the property and remove the trash, generally within one business day.

Q: Do I have to participate in the Regional Refuse and Recycling Program?
A: YES - all single residential properties in College, Ferguson, Harris, and Patton Townships must participate in the Program, per municipal ordinances which require refuse and recycling collections by an exclusive hauler under contract with the Centre Region COG.  Participation also includes timely payment of services rendered to the local hauler, Veolia More information on the Program is available under Curbside Residential Program

TRANSPORTING REFUSE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS FROM A RESIDENCE TO ANOTHER RESIDENCE, COMMERCIAL OPERATION, OR DUMPSTER WITHIN OR OUTSIDE OF THE CENTRE REGION, IN ORDER TO AVOID PAYMENT OF SERVICES TO THE CONTRACTED HAULER, IS ILLEGAL.
